Personal

Chad Henwood is a recent graduate from Southern Utah University where he received his B.S. in Theatre Arts and Arts Administration. He has won numerous awards across Directing, Acting and Playwriting. As an actor he has performed with the Tony-Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, Southern Utah University, Snow College, Online Theatre Festival and LaForge Encore Theatre. In 2019, he served as Managing Director for SUU's Second Studio and held various other production roles throughout the 2019-2020 season. He also served as a Guest Services supervisor for the Utah Shakespeare Festival between 2018-2020. 

In November of 2020, he found Tooele Valley Theatre in his hometown of Tooele.

Education

After graduating from Tooele High School, he started his associates degree at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. Majoring in biology with the goal of completing his Pre-Pharmacy requirements for Roseman College of Pharmacy. He quickly became a undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the Human Anatomy program where he led a team of students on dissections for the incoming cadavers. On the side of working on this degree, he was actively participating in theatre productions at Snow College.


In 2017, he received his A.S. from Snow College and transferred to Southern Utah University where he changed his major to Theatre Arts/Arts Administration.  His main course of studies consisted of Acting and Management courses (both through the Theatre Dept. and College of Business). As a sophomore he was selected to receive the Utah Shakespeare Festival acting fellowship. He also served as Managing Director for the student theatre company, Second Studio. He received his degree in Theatre Arts and Arts Administration in 2020.
